To podfic or not to podfic
OK you cats out there, I’m considering doing some podfic recordings for the first time as I’m noticing a dire need for more femslash based podfics. However there is a problem. I’m a guy and also I’m Australian.
I’m not saying I shouldn’t do it for those reasons but it is a factor that could affect the tone of the story. Tell me what you think
Incidentally if you would like a fic recorded then I’d be more than happy to give it a go.
Found your post on the podfic tag, and I’d say go for it! I listen to an unhealthy amount of podfic, and I most of it is stories about guys being recorded by women, so I see no need to only record fic about characters the same gender as you! As far as accent goes, I don’t think it matters at all! Podfic is so much more of a community thing than it is about professional-quality audiobooks.
